Quan Yin's Stress Prevention Mudra

Quan Yin Stress Prevention
The unique state of restful alertness gained during the practice of Quan Yin’s stress prevention mudra, can promote health by reducing activation of the sympathetic nervous system, which in turn dilates the blood vessels and reduces stress hormones, such as adrenaline, noradrenaline and cortisol.

To practice the stress prevention mudra; find a quiet place where you can close your eyes and breathe slowly and deeply in through your nose filling your belly and chest and exhaling slowly through your mouth empting your chest and belly simultaneously. Hold your left hand in your right palm at waist level with both palms facing up. Continue to breathe deeply while visualizing you and Quan Yin visiting your favorite place such as the ocean, the forest, the mountains, etc. Practice this stress prevention mudra as often as needed.
